Alas, a few weeks ago we had nice enough weather and the kids were dressed decently enough for pictures (lol)! Out we went to roam around with the cows.... Mister K hasn't had enough introduction to the outside of the farm yet, so we needed to get that nice cow smell on him:)
It doesn't take any convincing to get Big Sister outside...she'd be helping daddy feed cows by now is he let her! She's a farming girl at heart and isn't afraid of a little mud on the boots. (that sounds like a country song, doesn't it?)
I love the personality that cows have...some are quiet and shy, some are bossy and very pushy around other cows. If you sit and watch them long enough, they are interesting to observe. I caught this one cow sneaking a glance at us, just checking us out to make sure we weren't up to any trouble!
What would a farm be without farm cats? This poor cat has had way too many trips around the yard in the arms of a certain 3 year old (pictured below). The eyes in this picture give a lot away - trouble brewing in the preschooler's mind and "Aahhh, get me outta here!" going through the cat's mind. Or the cat might possibly be sick to her stomach...not sure.
